1. What personal experiences and individuals have influenced your political attitudes?
I haven't had any personal experiences that have influenced me politically, but I have been strongly influenced by some people in my family. My dad is very conservative, he listens to Glen Beck, Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, ect. He loves to talk about his beliefs on government. It is always interesting to talk to him about government, because he always gets fired up, you can hear the passion in his words. So, as I grew up, I was surrounded by conservative ideals. Even though I didn't really pay attention to the radio, the ideals of my father have seeped into my head. However, I am determined to forge my own political beliefs, I am trying not to blindly believe in what my father says. As I grow up, and move away from my family, I plan on developing my political beliefs on my own, away from any influence that might have a strong hold on me.
2. What has had the greatest effect on your political attitudes: The place where you live, your family's party affiliation, or your cultural background?
Definitely my family's party affiliation. Every time I have a question about politics, I always go to my father for an answer. Consequentially, I always get a conservative republican response. My family doesn't have T.V., so I haven't seen many political debates, I already know republican beliefs, and I agree with them, but I haven't seen republican beliefs questioned, I haven't gotten the chance to see a republican defend his ideals. So, to be honest, I don't really have a political attitude, I haven't been exposed to what politics really are, which is, to me, a continual debate, a back and forth of attacking some ones beliefs, and then that person defending themselves.
3. Is outsourcing jobs to other countries good or bad for America?
I think it is bad for America. Outsourcing moves a source of income for an American family to another country. It may be profitable for big companies, but it is harmful for the whole American economy. It leaks money that would normally enter back into the American economy, and sends it to another country, most likely, never to return. Simply, it removes jobs from The United States, which, at this time in American history, is a bad thing.
